As a Security Officer - School Patrol Rounds in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and foster a welcoming environment. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the needs of the location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with students, faculty, staff, and visitors to provide assistance and information as needed.
- Report any suspicious activity or security-related incidents according to site protocols and Allied Universal guidelines.
- Observe and monitor the premises to help to deter unauthorized access and promote a secure environment.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency personnel when required during incidents or emergencies.
