About The Position

As a Security Officer - School Hallway Patrol in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within an educational location, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, faculty, students, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within an educational environment.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activities, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, exits, and restricted areas as required by site procedures.
Support campus events and activities by providing a visible security-related presence and assisting with crowd management as needed.
Work collaboratively with campus staff and local authorities when required to address incidents and provide information.
Maintain accurate and detailed logs and reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations for Allied Universal and/or client records.
