About The Position

As a Security Officer - School Grounds Patrol in Auburn, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence throughout the education location. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and to observe and report any unusual conditions or incidents.
Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain an orderly environment within the educational setting.
Document and report all incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
Work collaboratively with campus personnel and/or local authorities as needed to address security-related concerns and provide support during emergencies.
Remain alert and approachable while on patrol to provide assistance and information to students, staff, and visitors as needed.
