Learn more: aus.com/earnmore. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting an education campus environment. You will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, maintain a visible presence that helps to discourage security-related incidents, and assist students, faculty, and visitors with professional customer service. You will communicate clearly, document observations, and use a computer and/or tablet to support reporting. Bring integrity and teamwork to a caring, agile, and innovative culture.

Requirements

Have 2 or more years of security-related experience.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, residence areas, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
Monitor access points and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or unauthorized entry in accordance with post orders.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with campus partners and/or public responders as needed.
Document patrols, incidents, and observations in written and/or electronic reports, and communicate relevant updates to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
