As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated areas within an educational setting, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming environment. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies and, when appropriate, participating in emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the educational environment.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain awareness of activities within the location.
- Document and report any security-related incidents, maintenance issues, or unusual circumstances to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
- Interact professionally with students, staff, and visitors, providing information and assistance as needed.
- Support Allied Universal and client protocols by maintaining a visible presence and upholding site-specific expectations.
