About The Position

As a Security Officer - School Campus Patrols in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within an educational setting, helping to deter security-related incidents and fostering a welcoming atmosphere. You will conduct routine patrols, stay visible throughout the location, and provide outstanding customer service and communication, all while upholding our core values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter potential security-related concerns.
Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access and promote a secure environment within the educational setting.
Document and report any unusual activities, observations, or incidents according to Allied Universal protocols.
Support campus staff, students, and visitors by providing information and assistance as needed.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders when required.
