As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a higher-education location, you will monitor and patrol campus areas, conduct routine rounds, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support students, faculty, staff, and visitors with courteous service. You will document activity, communicate clearly, and use computer and/or tablet tools as needed. Requirements

• Have at least 2+ years of security experience.
• Be at least 21+ years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to campus staff, students, and visitors by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter routes; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, disturbances, and fire and/or intrusion alarms; request assistance from public responders as needed.
• Monitor access points and security-related systems such as cameras, alarm panels, and visitor logs; report unusual activity and help to deter unauthorized access.
• Complete detailed reports and shift logs, communicate observations to site leadership and/or incoming officers, and support campus events with security-related presence and direction as assigned.
