As a Security Officer Roving Patrol Clearance Required in Melbourne, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading aerospace and defense location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support access awareness throughout the site. Requirements

  • Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate details to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, restricted areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report suspicious activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials, badges, and/or visitor authorizations in accordance with site protocols to help support controlled entry and exit activities.
  • Complete required reports, logs, and/or incident documentation, and relay relevant information regarding security-related concerns, maintenance issues, and/or operational disruptions.
