About The Position

As a Security Officer - Roving Patrol in Allentown, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. Requirements

• Have 1+ years' law enforcement experience OR 2+ years' security supervisor/manager experience OR 3+ years' security experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a residential care location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior common areas, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter, documenting observations and reporting hazards, maintenance concerns, and unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with access control issues, disputes, and medical or fire-related notifications per post orders.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify visitor authorization as required, and help to deter unauthorized access by maintaining a visible presence and following identification and sign-in requirements.
• Complete shift activity logs and incident reports, communicate key information during shift changes, and coordinate with site management and/or local responders as directed.
