As an Allied Universal Unarmed Patrol Officer at a residential location, you will monitor assigned areas through routine foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with clear communication and strong customer service. You will document observations, follow site procedures, and support residents, guests, and staff with professionalism. Requirements

  • A New York State Security Guard License is required.
  • A minimum of 1 year of security experience is required.
  • You must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout residential buildings, common areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor access points by observing entry and exit activity, assisting with visitor sign-in requirements as directed, and/or directing individuals to appropriate locations while following site guidelines.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and promptly communicating with site contacts and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Complete detailed reports of daily activities, incidents, and irregular conditions, and assist with basic security-related checks of doors, gates, and other controlled areas during patrols.
