About The Position
As a Security Officer - Roving Patrol Driver in Plymouth, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
- Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, employees, and/or visitors by carrying out assigned security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an automotive location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, and the perimeter, including interior and exterior checks as conditions vary by site.
- Control access points by monitoring entry and exit, verifying credentials as required, and documenting visitor and vehicle activity per site procedures.
- Complete routine reports and documentation, communicate observations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision, and assist with investigations as directed.
