About The Position

As a roving security presence, you will rotate across assigned posts and respond to evolving operational needs across the campus. Your responsibilities will include conducting proactive patrols of both interior and exterior areas to identify safety hazards, enforce access control policies, and deter unauthorized activity. You will operate and monitor security systems, including CCTV, access control, fire/life safety panels, and radios. In emergencies, you will respond quickly and effectively, serving as the first responder and liaison to internal and external responders. Maintaining security logs, incident reports, and documentation with accuracy and professionalism is essential. You will assist in issuing, managing, and retrieving temporary badges, keys, and visitor credentials, and support the implementation of emergency preparedness plans, leading drills or exercises as directed. Providing concierge-style customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors is a key aspect of the role, ensuring a secure and welcoming experience. Collaboration with internal departments and vendors to support special events, VIP visits, and operational projects is also expected. Participation in departmental projects, audits, and process improvement efforts will be part of your responsibilities, along with attending regular team briefings, training, and compliance sessions to stay current with security protocols and procedures. Adherence to all safety, security, and compliance policies within the workplace is mandatory.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in a security officer role.
• Familiarity with access control systems, CCTV, and emergency procedures.
• Strong track record of dependability and professional integrity.
• Flexibility to work a rotating schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Ability to meet physical demands of the role, including extended standing and walking.
• Successful completion of a criminal background check and required licensing.
