As an unarmed patrol Security Officer in a premier retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and assist shoppers and staff with professional customer service. You will observe and report unusual activity, communicate clearly with store leadership, and support a welcoming experience through teamwork and integrity. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a retail and mall location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with store management and local authorities as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout sales floors, back-of-house areas, receiving docks, and perimeter areas to help to deter theft, trespassing, and other unwanted activity.
- Monitor customer and employee activity for policy violations and suspicious behavior, assist with access control for restricted areas, and support queue and entry management during peak periods.
- Complete detailed reports on daily activities, incidents, and maintenance concerns, and communicate observations promptly to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
