As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a residential location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to calls for assistance. You will support access control, monitor common areas, document observations, and communicate clearly with residents, guests, and property staff. Bring integrity, teamwork, and a people-first mindset to every shift.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or vendors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and notifying site leadership and/or local authorities as directed.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter, with working conditions varying by location.
- Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by verifying credentials and/or directing visitors according to site procedures.
- Complete routine reports such as incident logs, patrol activity reports, and maintenance or hazard notifications, and communicate relevant updates during shift turnover.
