Job Description As a Security Officer - Roving Patrol in West Norriton, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence that helps to discourage security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with clear communication. You will support store teams and visitors with professional customer service, document observations, and escalate issues as needed. You will thrive in a caring culture that values agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.
Requirements
- Customer Service Experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to guests, associates, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the sales floor, receiving areas, parking lots, and perimeter, documenting notable conditions and reporting maintenance concerns.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disputes, medical events, and disorderly behavior, and coordinate with store leadership and/or responding agencies as directed.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas for suspicious activity and policy violations, helping to deter theft and/or property damage through presence and observation.
- Complete detailed reports on shift activity, incidents, and observations, and communicate timely updates to site supervision and/or client representatives.
