As a Security Officer Patrol Operations in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Loss prevention experience is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document relevant details according to site expectations.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store, surrounding property, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas for security-related concerns, assist with access-related issues, and communicate observations to site contacts and/or local responders when needed.
Support loss prevention awareness by observing customer and/or visitor activity, reporting suspicious behavior, and following post orders related to retail operations and after-hours checks.
