About The Position

As a Security Officer - Data Center Rover in South Bend, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a leading tech, media, and telecom location, you will conduct routine patrols and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support access points, monitor activity, respond to calls for assistance, and document observations clearly. You will also provide strong customer service and communication while working with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a telecom and technology location.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of interior spaces, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points, noting unusual conditions and reporting concerns per post orders.
Monitor access points, doors, gates, and loading or service areas, helping to deter unauthorized entry and/or policy violations through presence, observation, and clear communication.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, fire alarms, power or network disruptions, and disorderly conduct, and coordinate with on-site personnel and public responders as directed.
Document patrols, incidents, and daily activities using written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate status updates and follow-up actions to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
