As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will play a critical role in maintaining a secure environment at a bustling retail or mall location. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the property, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any situations that arise. Exceptional customer service and communication are at the heart of this position, as you will interact with visitors, tenants, and staff to address concerns and provide assistance. This role may involve patrolling on foot and/or by bicycle, offering a dynamic and engaging workday. Requirements

• Able to ride a bike.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report any suspicious activities or potential hazards within the location.
• Assist visitors, customers, and/or employees with directions and general inquiries as needed.
• Work collaboratively with Allied Universal team members and site management to address security-related concerns specific to the retail environment.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a welcoming atmosphere at the location.
