Security Officer - Retail Roving Patrol
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Retail Roving Patrol in Saint Paul, MN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail or mall locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining visible and approachable. You will conduct routine patrols, respond to situations as needed, and provide exceptional customer service. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and monitor for potential concerns.
- Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols within the location.
- Support access control procedures by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and assisting visitors as needed.
- Communicate clearly and promptly with Allied Universal management, site personnel, and local authorities as required.
- Complete detailed and accurate reports on incidents, patrol activities, and other security-related matters as directed by site policies.
