About The Position

As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol Rounds in Thousand Oaks, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed patrol professional with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned retail and mall locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and provide outstanding customer service while communicating clearly with guests and staff. Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience is required.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, responding appropriately to emergencies as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Observe and report any unusual activity or conditions, maintaining detailed and accurate records as required.
Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and addressing any unauthorized access attempts.
Support emergency response activities and coordinate with Allied Universal management and/or local authorities when necessary.
Maintain a professional presence and appearance while interacting with the public, clients, and staff within the retail environment.
