As a Security Officer Licensed Unarmed Patrol Guard in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Requirements

• A New York State Security Guard License is required.
• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

• Comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by following site-specific procedures, access guidelines, and customer assistance practices within a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate observations to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout storefront areas, common spaces, loading areas, and the exterior perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help support authorized access, crowd flow, and adherence to location rules and/or posted policies.
• Document incidents, observations, and/or daily activities in required reports and share relevant information with management and/or emergency responders when needed.
