Job Description As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol Full-Time in Mebane, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal in a retail environment, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a welcoming atmosphere. Your visible presence and strong communication skills will support customer service, while you assist visitors and staff. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
• Observe and report any unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance needs to site management and/or Allied Universal leadership as required.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points and verifying credentials as needed.
• Maintain clear and accurate records of all incidents, patrols, and other security-related activities during the shift.
• Collaborate with site staff and Allied Universal team members to support a secure and welcoming environment for employees and customers.
