About The Position

As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol - Full Time in Wyncote, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail mall location, you will monitor and patrol common areas and parking lots, complete routine patrols by vehicle and on foot, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy requirements. Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout interior common areas, exterior walkways, and parking areas to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or policy violations.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including addressing disturbances, assisting with lost children or property concerns, and coordinating with on-site management and/or law enforcement as needed.
Monitor entrances, corridors, loading areas, and other high-traffic locations; observe for suspicious behavior; and communicate observations and incident details to supervision and site contacts.
Complete required reports and logs, including patrol documentation, incident reports, and follow-up notes, using written and/or electronic reporting tools per site requirements.
