As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will conduct routine patrols and driving patrols across the property, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support a positive customer experience through clear communication and service. You will represent Allied Universal with integrity, teamwork, and a caring, people-first approach. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Guard Card/License is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and escalation protocols.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout retail sales floors, entrances, receiving areas, and parking lots, as applicable for the location and assignment.
- Monitor for suspicious activity, potential theft, and/or policy violations, and help to deter unwanted activity through high-visibility presence and timely reporting.
- Complete reports for incidents, hazards, and/or service requests, and communicate updates to Allied Universal leadership and onsite client contacts.
