About The Position

As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol Team in Baldwin Park, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail distribution areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining visible and approachable. You will conduct routine patrols and interact with staff and visitors, providing outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
Customer service experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas to help to deter theft, vandalism, and other unwanted activity.
Maintain detailed and accurate reports of daily activities, observations, and incidents as required by Allied Universal and client protocols.
Communicate clearly and professionally with visitors, employees, and emergency personnel as needed.
Assist with access control procedures and verify credentials as required by site policies.
