As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned retail and mall locations to help create a secure environment for guests and staff. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service and communication. This role emphasizes remaining visible, conducting routine patrols, and assisting visitors as needed. Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A valid security-related guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter potential security-related issues.
• Monitor for potential security-related concerns and report any irregularities in accordance with company and site policies.
• Interact professionally with visitors, customers, and/or employees within the location to support a welcoming environment.
• Document incidents and observations accurately and promptly as required by Allied Universal and client protocols.
