As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal in a retail or mall location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will interact with visitors and staff, providing outstanding customer service and communication while supporting a secure environment. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.
CPR and First Aid are preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations within the retail location in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail environment and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to management and/or local authorities as directed.
Assist with access control and monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access.
Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or other unwanted behaviors.
Complete required reports and logs in a timely and accurate manner as outlined by Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.
