As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol Specialist in North East, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed patrol professional with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a welcoming and secure environment for guests and staff. You will conduct regular patrols, remain visible to support a sense of comfort, and provide exceptional customer service. Your role will involve clear communication and prompt response to incidents, all while embodying Allied Universal's core values of agility, reliability, and integrity. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter incidents and identify potential issues.
Observe and report any suspicious activities or potential hazards within the location.
Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors and staff while maintaining a visible presence.
Assist with controlling access to designated areas as required by site policies.
Document and report all incidents, accidents and maintenance concerns according to Allied Universal procedures.
