About The Position

As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol Driver - Day Shifts in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail location, you will complete routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and assist associates and shoppers with calm, professional communication. This is a driving post, so you will operate a patrol vehicle while supporting store operations, reporting concerns, and responding to incidents. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license from the state in which the job is located is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to guests, associates, and management by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including customer concerns, disruptive behavior, and emergency situations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store, sales floor, stock areas, and exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas, observing for unusual activity and reporting concerns to store leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Complete reports and documentation related to incidents, patrol activity, and policy violations, and communicate updates through approved channels.
