About The Position

As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol Customer Service in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible. You will interact with visitors and staff, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication. Requirements

A guard card or license is preferred.
A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
Experience in loss prevention is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within the retail location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting a positive environment for visitors and staff.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store and around the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or potential issues.
Observe and report any suspicious behavior or activity, escalating situations as appropriate according to site protocols.
Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points, helping to maintain order within the location.
Support emergency response activities as needed, following established procedures and communicating clearly with all parties involved.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter theft, vandalism, or other unwanted behaviors within the retail environment.
