Job Description As a Security Officer - Retail Mall Patrol in Leawood, KS , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a bustling retail or mall location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents while delivering outstanding customer service. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the retail location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail property and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and address potential issues.
- Observe and report any suspicious behavior, hazards, or maintenance needs within the location.
- Assist visitors, employees, and tenants with directions and general inquiries as needed.
- Support emergency response activities when appropriate, working with local authorities and/or Allied Universal management.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of activities, incidents, and any unusual occurrences during the shift.
