As a Security Officer - Retail Mall Patrol Team in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal in a retail or mall location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. By providing outstanding customer service and clear communication, you will help create a welcoming environment for everyone. Requirements

Availability across various days and shifts
Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Experience with access control systems and badge processes is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Holding a state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
Experience in loss prevention is preferred.
Possession of a security-related guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with emergency response activities as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and provide a visible security-related presence.
Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or theft.
Observe and report any unusual activity, potential hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management as needed.
