Job Description As a Security Officer - Retail Mall Patrol Driver in Poughkeepsie, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a retail or mall location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. Your visible presence and communication skills will contribute to a welcoming environment for all visitors. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, guests, and tenants by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within a retail or mall environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing Allied Universal protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the shopping center and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and/or suspicious behavior.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, and verifying credentials as required.
• Maintain clear and concise communication with Allied Universal management, site staff, and local authorities when necessary.
• Document and report all incidents, observations, and/or hazards in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
• Support emergency response activities, including evacuations and providing guidance to visitors and staff as needed.
