As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a retail environment, you will be responsible for conducting regular patrols throughout the location, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for patrolling the premises by vehicle. You will engage with employees and visitors, delivering outstanding customer service while upholding our core values of teamwork, integrity, and innovation.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Experience in a primarily driving post is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order within the location.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and observe for any irregularities.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter theft, disturbances, and other unwanted behavior within the retail environment.
Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and/or hazards according to site procedures.
Collaborate with store management and/or law enforcement as needed for security-related matters.
Support loss prevention efforts by observing for suspicious activity and reporting concerns as directed by site protocols.
