Join Allied Universal at a busy retail and mall location in an access control role, where you will greet visitors, verify credentials, manage entry points, and monitor activity from a visible presence. You will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, document incidents, and communicate clearly with store teams and guests to help reduce security-related issues. Requirements

  • Have 2+ years of security experience.
  • Have 6+ months of armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail and/or mall location.
  • Control access at entrances, employee areas, and delivery points by greeting visitors, verifying identification, maintaining visitor logs, and issuing temporary credentials as directed by site policy.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or hazards to site leadership using established reporting channels.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support and coordinating with local responders when requested.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout storefront areas, common areas, back-of-house corridors, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or unauthorized access.
