Job Description As a Security Officer - Retail Guest Services in Chicago, IL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer with Allied Universal at a bustling retail or mall location, you will be the first point of contact, greeting visitors and providing exceptional customer service. You will help to deter security-related incidents through your visible presence and strong communication skills. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service to visitors, tenants, and staff at the front desk by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
  • Monitor access to the location, verifying credentials and assisting with visitor management to help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and visitor logs as required by the site.
  • Communicate professionally with all individuals at the location, addressing inquiries and providing information as needed.
  • Support emergency response activities as directed, coordinating with Allied Universal management and local authorities when appropriate.
