As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a busy retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with clear communication. You will support store teams and shoppers with friendly customer service, document observations, and help maintain order during daily operations. Position Type: Flex Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour Job Schedule: Day Time Sat 04:00 PM - 11:30 PM

Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to guests and associates by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floor, entrances, loading areas, and parking areas, noting and reporting unusual activity or hazards.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including customer disputes, suspected shoplifting situations, and medical calls, and escalate to site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, observing merchandise movement, and helping to maintain orderly traffic flow during peak shopping periods.
• Complete patrol logs and incident reports, communicate observations to the Allied Universal supervisor and/or site contacts, and support loss prevention and operational teams when requested.
