As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a retail or mall location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entrances, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols throughout the premises. Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Monitor and control access points within the retail or mall location to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain a secure environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the business premises and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
• Document and report any irregularities, incidents, or suspicious activities according to Allied Universal guidelines.
• Assist visitors, employees, and vendors with access-related matters while maintaining a professional presence.
• Collaborate with site management and Allied Universal supervisors to address security-related concerns specific to the retail or mall environment.
