Job Description As a Security Officer - Retail Driving Patrols in Federal Way, WA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents at a vibrant retail and mall location. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to support a secure environment, and provide outstanding customer service and communication to visitors and tenants. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• State, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order within the retail or mall location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall premises and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or site management.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits and verifying credentials as required by site policies.
• Support Allied Universal and client staff during emergencies by following established protocols and facilitating communication with emergency responders as needed.
