Job Description As a Security Officer Campus Patrol in San Bruno, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a busy retail location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, posted policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and report observations according to Allied Universal and location guidelines.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, sales floor, parking areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor for suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or unusual activity involving customers, merchandise, and restricted areas, and communicate with location management when needed.
- Assist with access control, closing procedures, and/or crowd and foot traffic monitoring during busy periods, special events, or emergency situations.
