As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a busy retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control, assist with badge checks, and use a computer and/or tablet to document activity and communicate clearly with the team. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and guests by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail and/or mall location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property, including storefront areas, common areas, corridors, loading and receiving areas, and perimeter zones, as permitted by site guidelines.
  • Observe and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations; document findings and complete required incident and activity reports in a timely manner.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including addressing disturbances, supporting lost and found processes, and coordinating with site management and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Monitor access points and customer traffic patterns, provide directions and assistance to shoppers and employees, and help to deter theft-related and/or disruptive behavior through visible presence and professional communication.
