Job Description As a Security Officer - Retail Bike Patrol in Los Angeles, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated areas within a commercial real estate location. Your role involves conducting regular patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and delivering outstanding customer service. You will interact with visitors and tenants, support a welcoming environment, and embody our values of agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity through teamwork and a people-first approach.

Requirements

Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the commercial real estate property and its perimeter.
Working environments and conditions may vary by location.
Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives.
Assist visitors and tenants with directions and information as needed while maintaining a professional presence.
Help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior within the property through visible patrols and attentive presence.
