Job Description As a Security Officer - Retail Access Patrol in Manhattan Beach, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will actively monitor and patrol retail and mall locations to help deter security-related incidents and promote a welcoming environment. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and provide outstanding customer service while responding to situations as they arise. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver's license, and offers the opportunity to make a positive impact through teamwork and integrity. Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner within the retail or mall environment.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
- Interact professionally with patrons, visitors, and staff to address inquiries and provide assistance as needed.
- Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain a visible presence to help to deter theft, vandalism, and other unwanted behaviors.
- Complete required reports and documentation accurately and in a timely manner as directed by Allied Universal and site management.
