As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a retail location, you will monitor entry points, conduct routine patrols, and remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

A guard card or license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the retail location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining a professional presence.
Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious activity within the retail environment.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter potential issues, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
Observe and report any security-related irregularities, such as property damage, theft, or unusual activity, in accordance with Allied Universal protocols.
Communicate with site personnel and/or law enforcement as needed to address incidents or emergencies.
Maintain accurate records and logs of activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences during shifts.
