About The Position

As a Security Officer - Residential Gatehouse Driver in Calabasas, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. Join Allied Universal at a residential community access control post, where you will greet residents and guests, verify credentials, manage entry logs, and communicate clearly with property staff and responding teams. You will remain visible at key access points and help identify and report security-related concerns with professionalism and integrity. Requirements

  • A minimum of 1 year of security experience is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and/or delivery drivers by following site-specific security-related procedures and access control policies.
  • Control access at gates and/or entry points by verifying identification, confirming visitor authorization, issuing visitor instructions, and directing traffic flow as needed.
  • Monitor CCTV, intercoms, alarms, and/or access control systems; document unusual activity and notify site leadership and/or emergency services per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including resident concerns, disputes, medical calls, and/or property-related issues.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the community grounds, common areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity; complete accurate reports and logs.
