Security Officer - Residential Entry Desk
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Residential Entry Desk in Calabasas, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and patrolling a prestigious residential location. Your presence and attention to detail help maintain a secure environment, while you deliver outstanding customer service and clear communication to residents and guests. Requirements
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Perform access control duties at the residential location, verifying the identity of residents, guests, and vendors as they enter the premises.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting residents and visitors and addressing questions or concerns in a professional manner.
- Follow site-specific policies and procedures related to entry and exit of vehicles and pedestrians.
- Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the residential community and perimeter to observe for unusual or security-related concerns.
- Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities as required by Allied Universal and the site.
- Assist in emergency response activities as directed, maintaining communication with residents, management, and first responders as needed.
