As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal in a residential location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entrances, managing access points, and conducting routine patrols throughout the community. You will interact with residents and guests, providing excellent customer service while maintaining a visible presence. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage access control procedures at the residential location, verifying credentials of residents, guests, and vendors to help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Provide customer service by assisting residents and visitors with inquiries and directions in a professional manner.
  • Carry out security-related site-specific policies and procedures, including monitoring entrances and exits.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report any irregularities.
  • Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and activities as required by Allied Universal and site management.
  • Assist emergency personnel and first responders as needed during incidents at the location.
