About The Position

As a Security Officer - Residential Access Control in NORTH BARRINGTON, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a residential location, you will monitor entry points, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents while delivering exceptional customer service. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Control access to the residential location by verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering the property.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activities.
• Provide customer service by responding to inquiries and assisting residents, visitors, and contractors as needed.
• Follow site-specific policies and procedures as outlined by Allied Universal for the location.
• Respond to incidents, emergencies, and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and perimeter to observe and report any security-related concerns.
• Document observations, incidents, and activities in a timely and accurate manner according to Allied Universal protocols.
