As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a residential location, you will monitor entry points, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents. Your visible presence and commitment to outstanding customer service will contribute to a welcoming environment. You'll interact with residents and visitors, use technology to support your duties, and be part of a team that values integrity, reliability, and putting people first.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist residents, guests, and visitors at the location by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
Monitor access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and help to allow only approved individuals on the premises.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the residential community and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
Provide excellent customer service to all individuals encountered while performing duties.
Document and report any unusual incidents, observations, or security-related concerns according to site requirements.
Support emergency response activities as needed, collaborating with local authorities and Allied Universal management when appropriate.
