Job Description As a Security Officer - Resident Access Control in Deerfield Beach, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and maintain order at a residential location. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entrances, conducting routine patrols, and remaining highly visible to provide a reassuring presence. You will also deliver outstanding customer service and clear communication, reflecting our values of agility, reliability, and integrity while fostering a caring, people-first environment.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering and/or exiting the residential location.
- Provide customer service by assisting residents, guests, and visitors with inquiries and site-specific procedures.
- Carry out security-related procedures in accordance with site-specific policies and guidelines.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the residential property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities.
- Document observations and report any irregularities, such as property damage, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
- Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency personnel as required during incidents or emergencies.
- Maintain detailed and accurate logs of all activities, incidents, and observations during each shift.
